ABOUT US
Based both in the South of France and in Dublin (Ireland), we are a collective of professional artists from dance, theatre and music backgrounds brought together in a common aim to create work which will have an impact on our audiences and spark discussion and debates.
The company is international having colaborated with artists from Ireland, Spain, Argentina and France.
Founded by Stella Godmet and Léa Weber in October 2016, Fleet of Feet was formed with a desire to create a piece inspired by Charlotte Perkins’ haunting short story, The Yellow Wallpaper. The concept of the performance was then developed with the cast and devised in a collaborative process. The Wallpaper was first performed at the Scene+Heard Festival (Smock Alley, Dublin 2017) and went on to be programmed for the Galway Fringe Festival (July 2017).
The company then presented two shows created and performed by Stella Godmet: Blue Devils at the First Fortnight Festival (Dublin) in January 2019 and The many faces of her at the Scene+Heard Festival (Dublin) in February 2020.
Léa Weber and Stella Godmet are currently working on a new piece, exploring female stories of mental health issues and seclusion, in the French and Irish contexts. At the crossroads of theatre, dance and music, this new piece will poetically bring to the stage some well-known and other completely forgotten stories of women who have been casted apart from society for they were considered as "crazy", "hysterical" or simply did not fit well in what is socially acceptable.
