THE WALLPAPER ¦ GALWAY FRINGE FESTIVAL

July 20-23 2017 ¦ 8pm ¦ Columban Hall Theatre

"THERE ARE THINGS IN THAT PAPER THAT NOBODY KNOWS BUT ME."

A touching, visually enchanting and yet thought-provoking all-female performance, the Wallpaper deals with the perception of “madness” and plays with the fine line between reality and hallucination.

The piece explores the feeling of seclusion through myths and stories, such as Charlotte Perkins' The Yellow Wallpaper and the Blue Beard legend.

By combining contemporary dance, physical theatre and live music we attempt to immerse the audience in the characters’ claustrophobic world.

Cast: Ana Belén Lòpez Rodrìguez , Kate Connaughton, Stella Godmet, Pache, Claire Prouvost, Léa Weber.

Running Time: 50 minutes

AUDIENCE REVIEWS.

““Brilliant” never seen such a production with emphasis on mental health !!! Keep on creating, we need to help educate people’s awareness.”

Debra Jonson New York City.

“I was mesmerized by the movement and the ensemble work in this show. “

“ It moved me as a woman. We all go through different stages in our lives and one of them is being “sick”. Everybody gets “sick” sometimes and is thorn between body and soul. We all search for happiness.

Amazing voice of the singer, thought it was an instrument in the beginning. “

“Powerful and moving. Thank you! The fine line between being, “normal” and “sick” is not fixed”

“Well done ladies. Great show. Power-full.” Ray McBride (Ex-DRUID Actor)
